Old, Outdated, Obsolete, and Unsupported...
Programs which are still available for download, but obsolete
Download and experiment with these at your own risk; most of them have problems with the latest versions of OS X, but if you're running an older system or even using OS 9 (gasp!) then they may be useful.
Simplex Calc
(Note, this program was previously called SimpleCalc but was renamed)
SimplexCalc was Chimoosoft's first program for the Macintosh, and it is now quite a bit out of date. Although it seems to work with Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X 10.0 - 10.1, it has fairly severe cosmetic defects on later versions. An update may be in the works sometime in the future although better calculators have since been written and there doesn't appear to be much demand for a new version of SimplexCalc. If you do desire a new version, contact us and let us know!
"This little gadget is simple to use, elegant, and fast for the simple calculations I do. If you want to print out the tape, copy the numbers into a "Stickie" and print away!"
- Susan Bingham, June 2001
The main features of this program are the small window size (doesn't waste space for number keys like other calculators), and the ability to create more than one calculator window at a time.
Lat Lon Converter
Lat/Lon Converter is a very simple program which allows the user to convert latitude and longitude between decimal degrees and degrees, minutes, seconds. This program is freeware, and it's old! If you're looking for more recent GPS related software, check out Terrabrowser or GPS Connect.
Bounce Toy
At fun little diversion, Bounce Toy creates a random number of translucent boxes on your screen which you can grab and throw around. They bounce off the sides, and the smaller ones are easier to throw.
